Legal information
Last updated 15 September 2026
This site belongs to Festa das Latas e Imposição de Insígnias, organised by the Associação Académica de Coimbra (AAC), legal person no. 500032173, with its registered office at Rua Padre António Vieira, S/N, 3000-315 Coimbra (Edifício Sede da AAC), Portugal.
For general matters write to geral@festadaslatas.pt; for shop orders, loja@festadaslatas.pt.
The site carries information about the festival (line-up, rules, news and contacts) and the official merch shop. By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not agree with them, do not use the site or the shop.
You pay online, when you order, and pick up in person: there is no shipping. You choose the items, leave your name, your email and, if you want, your mobile number and tax number, and pay on the site itself. Once the payment goes through you get a code (for example, ENC-001) and a QR code by email: that is what you pick the order up with, at the collection point we tell you about.
Payments on this site are processed by Stripe, through Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (Ireland), which handles the transaction and your payment method. The payment form belongs to Stripe and appears inside the site's page; your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers, nor are they stored by us. What comes back to us is the confirmation that the payment was made and the method used.
Invoicing for this purchase is the responsibility of the Associação Académica de Coimbra (AAC), legal person no. 500032173, which is who issues the invoice. The Festa das Latas shop does not issue invoices.
The invoice does not come automatically with the order: you have to ask for it, and there are two ways of doing so.
Either way you have to give the payment number, which is the order code (for example, ENC-001), the details for the invoice (full name or company name, tax number and address) and proof of payment: the order confirmation email will do, and so will the card or MB WAY receipt.
Without those three the invoice cannot be issued. The tax number you gave at checkout is kept with the order and is the one that goes on the invoice; if you didn't give one, or the invoice is to go to a different name, say so in the request.
Orders are picked up in person, at the festival stand on the day you choose at checkout, or after the festival at the Reprografia da AAC during office hours. Bring the order code or the QR code you received: whoever hands the order over reads it and the collection is confirmed. As the order is already paid, there is nothing to pay at pick-up.
If the order isn't collected within the period we tell you about, we will contact you to agree another date. The items stay yours and so does what you paid: we put nothing back into stock without talking to you first.
As the purchase is made at a distance, you have 14 days from the delivery of the item to withdraw without giving a reason, under Decree-Law 24/2014. An email to loja@festadaslatas.pt before the deadline is enough; the item has to come back in the condition it was handed over in.
We refund what you paid within 14 days of receiving your notice, by the same payment method you used, through Stripe and at no cost to you. We may hold the refund until the item is back with us.
This right does not apply to items made to your measurements or clearly personalised (pieces with a name or a logo of your choice, and items produced to order), under article 17(1)(c) of the same law.
Items carry the legal guarantee of conformity of 3 years from delivery (Decree-Law 84/2021). If an item is faulty, talk to us: it gets repaired, replaced, reduced in price or refunded, as the law provides. Money refunds go back by the same payment method used for the purchase, through Stripe.
Beyond the guarantee, we exchange any item for up to 30 days after collection, as long as it is unused, complete and accompanied by proof of purchase. Personalised items are outside this commercial exchange, which doesn't affect the legal guarantee.
You can complain through the electronic Complaints Book.
In a consumer dispute you may turn to alternative dispute resolution (ADR), under Portuguese Law no. 144/2015. The competent body in our area is the Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo do Distrito de Coimbra (centrodearbitragemdecoimbra.com). The full list of ADR bodies is on the Portuguese Consumer Portal.
What we do with your data is explained in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. To process the payment, the necessary data is passed to Stripe, which handles payment data as a controller in its own right; your card details never reach this site.
These terms may be updated. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date above says when it last changed; your order is governed by the terms in force when you placed it.
Portuguese law applies. For disputes not settled by agreement or through ADR, the courts of the district of Coimbra have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the rules that protect consumers.
